It's Patio Season!
The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and the nights are getting warmer. It appears that patio season is upon us! Wether you're an entertainer or prefer to enjoy the fresh air solo, creating an outdoor oasis to enjoy all summer long is always a good idea.
What's trending for 2018? Furniture that blurs the lines between the indoors and outdoors, mixing of materials (think a wicker and metal combo), and earthy neutral shades accented by vibrant summer tones. I gathered a handful of my outdoor living favorites for this season that I hope will have you feeling inspired by the end of this post.
Let me start by saying, Target is doing it right this year... well, every year really. This summer's patio furniture has me seriously swooning though! You know that one person that just really hates the whimsical look of string lights? Yeah me either, that's because they don't exist! So my friends, string. it. up. Creating a canopy of string lights is the best way to achieve that perfect summer ambiance you know you were yearning for all winter long. When shopping around, make sure you look for shatter proof bulbs (like these from Pier 1). You never know when those Colorado hail storms are gonna getcha!

I'm a big fan of outdoor rugs, they bring the indoors outdoors in the best way. They add warmth and character to a space. Deep blue hues seem to be a popular choice among many vendors this year when it comes to outdoor accent pieces such as rugs and throw pillows. Since my last post was on throw pillows- I'll save you guys the lecture on the patio version, just know to use them! They look fabulous in both bright colors and in neutral schemes.
